Advertising Copywriter/Social Media Manager

 The Advertising Copywriter/Social Media Manager will provide oversight of all top-level social media platforms for Zirrus and impactful, engaging and informative content for Zirrus’ website, printed publications. This person will also plan and implement strategies for social media best practices; stay informed on ever-evolving social and digital trends; and help Zirrus become a leader in the technology/telecommunications social media landscape. This individual will work closely with a talented team of marketing professionals to set and achieve social media and content goals and help reinforce the voice, tone and other characteristics of Zirrus’ recently launched rebrand.


Dynamic Leader & Engineer with PE Certification

The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader and experienced team builder with a proven ability to develop and coach.  The leader will have complete oversight to operational processes, provide guidance for projects and complex business situations, identify growth opportunities, create ownership and accountability, be a mentor, and focus on creating high-performing teams to meet the current and future needs of the Company. The position will be expected to help guide the operational direction and activities for the company by developing long-term technology roadmaps.  This role requires a strong technical background, experience managing parallel projects, creating KPIs, and developing relationships with key stakeholders to ensure value and success in all stages of operational planning.  Once the leader understands the business strategy and the scope/responsibilities of their role, they will develop a plan and identify critical metrics that drive operational performance, while setting clear, realistic targets.  Initially it is important to build a solid foundation through taking a simplistic approach that focuses on the basics, encourages teamwork and relationships, ensures understanding, and seeks ongoing improvement.


Fiber Technician

The cable technician establishes communications systems by installing, maintaining and repairing telecommunication facilities used by Zirrus to deliver voice, video and data services. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: splicing fiber optic and copper cable in both outdoor and indoor settings, read, create and maintain splicing schematics and diagrams, maintain control of outside plant (OSP) activities surrounding the assigned work sites, taking and maintaining accurate splicing and field notes and supporting project timelines.


Installation & Repair Technician

Provides telecommunications and customer network products and services to residential and business customers by installing, testing, and maintaining facilities and equipment.


IT Service Desk Intern

This role requires a candidate to be a current college student in an IT or Business-related major that would like to gain IT experience while working within our IT Service Desk team. Interns will be mentored and trained to perform triage and incident management ticket handling responsibilities within our Service Desk team. Ticket handling includes triaging and troubleshooting issues while working with the senior IT team to resolve incidents within established SLA’s, while demonstrating a high level of customer service with end users and clients. The goal of this role is to develop your understanding and ability to support our IT managed and professional services catalog, knowledge base (KB), and ticket handling process, while contributing to the overall success of IT team projects and tasks as assigned. This internship supports the second and third shift and could be located in both Yadkinville and Winston-Salem.


Lead, Drop Construction

Results-driven role that oversees the operational aspects of outside plant activities and processes involved with the successful installation of underground fiber construction. This includes preparation, planning, equipment, and installation of a variety of outside plant materials associated with constructing the physical fiber network.


Manager, Procurement & Logistics

Procurement & Logistics management oversees company inventory, supplier relations, and supply chain/transportation details for our company. This role also coordinates, organizes, and oversees all activities involved with warehouse management. The team collectively manages and owns all facets of logistics, inventory and purchasing decisions in support of efficient operational performance and outcomes. This position will be based in our Yadkinville HQ, supporting our other locations including Winston Salem and retail stores.


Manager, Telecommunications Engineering

Establishes telecommunications systems by supervising the planning, design, implementation and modifications of switching, transmissions and LAN/WAN infrastructures that support data, and voice communication systems; collaborating with Plant Operations, CO, and OSP Groups to ensure efficient and reliable operation of software media and hardware systems in order to meet business objectives; assisting in the development of short and long-range planning of telecommunications facilities.


Miscellaneous Construction Helper

Regularly performs duties to support all facets of outside plant and mainline constructions. Comprehensive, onsite preparation and installation of outside plant materials such as fiber network, buried cable, splicing vaults, pedestals, repairs, and other associated items.


Outside Plant Project Specialist

The primary responsibility of an OSP Project Specialist revolves around the engineering design, coordination, construction, and maintenance of plant infrastructure – as well as providing a route analysis of underground & aerial fiber optic installations to help support our Telecommunications technology company.


Outside Plant Technician

 The Outside Plant Technician will maintain control of outside plant (OSP) activities around assigned work sites, staking and maintaining accurate field notes, supporting project timelines, and inspecting, designing and providing accurate Staking Sheets for projects.


Residential Sales Representative 

We are searching for a high-energy and ambitious Residential Sales Representative. You need to be creative, focused, and have a drive to win. 

The sales representative will communicate directly with prospects and existing customers, understand their needs, and recommend products or services that maximize value. The products portfolio includes fiber internet to the home, home security, and wireless cell phones. The Sales Representative is responsible for developing sales and prospecting strategies – both in the field and over the phone, and meeting and exceeding a sales quota. You should be an adaptable, coachable, and a successful sales professional. You have a history of working with integrity, you take initiative for your day, with strong communications skills.

A successful Sales Representative will be a skilled communicator and presenter of value who can find the best fit between customer and product/service. The ideal candidate will be organized, passionate about customers and their problems, and focused on the sales cycle for your customer.


Retail Sales Specialist - Bilingual, a plus 

Create energy and excitement in retail around the “sell” of Zirrus offerings. Promote insight into our products, services, plans and technology that directly enhances the customer experience and supports sales growth.
